Introduction: A Year of Adventure

It’s hard to believe we are already marking the one-year anniversary of Baldur’s Gate 3’s release. Since its debut, players have delved into the intricate world of character creation, crafting unique orcs, elves, and other fantastic beings. Even after numerous playthroughs and almost 300 hours logged, the magic of the game remains intact.

The ‘Channel From Hell’ Announcement

To celebrate this milestone, Larian Studios has unveiled a new initiative titled the ‘Channel From Hell’ on YouTube. Announced on X, “the everything app,” this channel will be community-focused and feature regular, never-seen-before videos expected to arrive this summer. Though the channel currently remains empty, anticipation is high for its first set of uploads.

Reviving the ‘Panels From Hell’

The ‘Channel From Hell’ draws inspiration from the pre-release ‘Panels From Hell,’ which were live events showcasing new game features during early access. These panels became iconic, offering glimpses into the game’s development, including the unforgettable ursine sex scene featuring the hunky elf druid Halsin.

Engaging the Community

Larian’s direct and embedded social media strategy, including an active TikTok channel, has kept the community engaged. This new channel aims to fill the void left by the ‘Panels From Hell,’ bringing gamers closer to ongoing developments. It promises to be an exciting space where fans can get updates and enjoy exclusive content.

Looking Ahead: Future Prospects

As Larian Studios commits to developing future RPGs, the team remains dedicated to interacting with its fanbase. Alongside the ‘Channel From Hell,’ updates like the modding and villainy-focused Patch 7 are in the works for Baldur’s Gate 3. Moreover, PCG Online Editor Fraser Brown’s interview with Larian boss Swen Vincke and writer Adam Smith at a Barcelona summit revealed that Larian had explored prototypes for Baldur’s Gate 4 or an expansion before charting a different course.
