On the official Bandai Namco webpage, the announcement is clear: registration for the Nightreign network test opens on January 10, yet the absence of any Steam or Epic badges in sight is hard to overlook. Though the road to the co-op experience in Nightreign seems paved with anticipation, fans on PC are left standing on the sidelines, watching from afar as console players gear up for the test.
A Trend of Console-Only Tests
Let’s take a moment to reflect on the trend: FromSoftware’s prior network tests have had a history of neglecting the PC platform. Dark Souls 2’s network test in 2013 limited players to consoles, and similarly, the tests for Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring followed suit.
