Introduction to the Crush Depth Update

One of the year’s best survival adventure games, Abiotic Factor, is set to receive a significant update next week. The ‘Crush Depth’ update will immerse players deeper into the hydroplant sector and introduce new exciting features, including a fishing minigame. In this blog post, we’ll delve into the details of this update and what it means for the players.

Exploring the Hydroplant Sector

The hydroplant sector will be a critical zone in the Crush Depth update. It features a large dam complex, a power plant, and various experiments requiring significant volumes of water for insulation. Players familiar with Abiotic Factor know that maintaining fresh water is a challenging task. Additionally, the quite spooky security sector in this zone appears to be pitch-black inside, adding an element of suspense and thrill to the exploration. The sector will also include a portal to an off-site mountaintop facility nestled in the French or Swiss Alps.

New Transportation and Equipment

To navigate the expansive water bodies in the hydroplant sector, the developers have introduced new equipment in the Crush Depth update. Players can now access a jetpack blueprint and a sport utility vehicle (SUV) to replace their old golf cart or forklift. These new additions will greatly enhance mobility and efficiency during exploration. The update also brings security lasers for trapping and eliminating enemies, carbon-fiber structures, scoped weapons, and a ‘moisture teleporter’—whatever that might be!

Additional Features and Improvements

Among the plethora of new features, the Crush Depth update reintroduces a new character, Security Officer Warren, and adds a variety of interactive elements like psychedelic-looking rice for brave players to grow and consume. The ambient temperature system is also getting a makeover, requiring players to bundle up against the cold, particularly in the mountainous areas.

Availability and Pricing

Abiotic Factor is currently available on Steam for $25, with a limited-time 20% discount until August 15. Players eager to learn more about the Crush Depth update can find detailed information on the team’s Steam news post. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to explore the depths and enjoy new challenges and features in Abiotic Factor.
