What’s the MySims: Cozy Bundle?

Prepare for some nostalgia as the MySims: Cozy Bundle makes its way to PC on March 18. This delightful port of the adorable chibi-simulation games, originally launched on the Wii, brings a sprinkle of whimsy to our desktops. With characters boasting blocky heads and endless personality quirks, new gamers and seasoned fans alike are in for a treat!

Old Favorites, New Audience

It’s been quite some time since the original MySims graced our PCs back in 2008. With this new release, we’re seeing not just the classic game reworked for modern machines, but also MySims Kingdom, which adds a medieval twist to the franchise. While it may not be groundbreaking as it landed on the Switch last November, it’s still a welcome sight. The charm of the MySims series is its unique twist on the traditional Sims gameplay.

Why We Love It

Lyndsay Pearson, the VP of franchise creative at EA, summed it up best: “At its heart, it’s still very, very Sims.” These games provide a lighter, more whimsical alternative to their bigger HD sibling titles. As someone who never ventured into the MySims territory during childhood – my Wii was a Mario Kart machine – I’m eager to explore this new world. There’s something enchanting about customizing blocky characters, befriending quirky neighbors, and crafting your personal utopia in a more casual setting.

With this re-release, who knows? Maybe someday we’ll even see a port of MySims Agents. Until then, let’s get cozy with our new chibi friends!
