Patch Highlights: What’s New?

Stardew Valley has rolled out its eagerly anticipated patch 1.6.15, and while it may not be life-changing, it comes with some notable fixes that players will applaud. This patch addresses several little bugs that were nipping at our heels. However, the most exciting development is the removal of the notorious bad-word filter from additional text boxes, as confirmed by developer Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone on social media. This means you can finally express your in-game frustrations with the full vocabulary you deem necessary. Hooray for freedom!

Your Farming Life: Swears Included

With this update, players can enjoy swearing up a storm in their personal Stardew Valley universe, sans any pesky censorship—at least on platforms that allow it. Cue the confetti! However, console players will have to sit on their hands as they wait for a solution regarding an interesting little bug: the inability to get divorced without crashing the game. Not exactly the divorce you were hoping for, is it? Sorry, console folks; you’ll just have to endure a little longer.

More Roe Than Ever

The patch also boasts a solitary balance change: legendary fish ponds will now produce roe much more frequently. Imagine that! We finally get to embrace the legendary aspect of legendary fish as they contribute more delicious roe to our inventories. After all, if those fish are so legendary, then surely their roe should follow suit! Less roe would be an insult to their legendary status.

So, while this patch brings both elation and irritation, remember: in Stardew Valley, there’s always another season to look forward to!
