A short while back, Apple announced a ton of new immersive video content coming to its mixed reality headset. Among these, ‘Elevated,’ the series that will take viewers on breathtaking journeys through the sky, is set to release on September 6. This series will aim to bring exhilarating real-life experiences straight to the comfort of your couch on your Apple Vision Pro.
To kick off ‘Elevated,’ the first episode will feature a journey high above Hawaii, flying around volcanoes, waterfalls, and other natural wonders. For those with a fear of heights, this episode might be one to skip.
Future Episodes and More Content
The second episode of ‘Elevated,’ which does not have a release date yet, will be set in New England during the fall. Aside from ‘Elevated,’ Vision Pro owners can look forward to a variety of other immersive content in the near future. This includes:
- An exclusive performance by popular artist The Weeknd
- A short film about being trapped in a submarine after a fatal attack
- Red Bull sports event featuring massive waves off the coast of Tahiti
- Another short film covering the 2024 NBA All-Star weekend
VisionOS 2: Enhancing Your Mixed Reality Experience
Alongside these exciting immersive films and videos, VisionOS 2—billed as the biggest Vision Pro update ever—is also set to launch soon. This update will bring new features, gestures, apps, tools, and enhancements.
If the surreal touch controllers for Vision Pro are made and shipped on time, your Apple headset could even become an excellent PC VR headset before the year’s end. This is definitely something worth looking forward to.
