Hold Onto Your Gamepads!
Civilization 7 is getting ready to take the strategic world by storm on February 11, and it’s not just the launch we should be excited about. Oh no! 2K Games has rolled out a roadmap that reveals tasty morsels of content that will come our way throughout 2025. Prepare yourself—two paid DLCs and two free updates are on the horizon!
Crossroad of the World Awaits
The first of the two paid DLCs, aptly named Crossroads of the World, is set to come crashing down like a viking ship on March’s shores. Part one of this two-parter brings with it the brilliant Ada Lovelace, the Victorian mathematician. Get ready to flex your strategic muscles as you lead her civilization, alongside the likes of Carthage and Great Britain, who wouldn’t mind a spot of tea while plotting world domination.
Revolution is in the Air!
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, the second wave of Crossroads of the World coaxes you into the shoes of Simon Bolivar, the South American revolutionary. Now, this is your chance to lead the cultures of Bulgaria and Nepal! A chance to conquer the world map, while simultaneously brushing up on your revolutionary history—what more could a gamer want?
But wait, there’s more! The second paid DLC, intriguingly named Right to Rule, is popping up anytime between April and September. Though the details are murky like a foggy morning, we do know it’ll pack new leaders, civilizations, and wonders that will surely spice up your gaming experience.
In summary, if you thought Civ 7 was going to be a solo affair, think again! With these exciting updates, the world of Civilization is about to get a whole lot busier (and probably more treacherous!)
