Introduction to the Pixel Screenshots App

With the launch of the latest Pixel 9 series, Google has introduced an innovative Pixel Screenshots app. Utilizing advanced on-device AI, this app can analyze all your screenshots and provide insightful answers through Gemini, Google’s most capable AI model. Users can ask Gemini questions about their activities, and the AI will delve into the screenshots to offer detailed responses.

Circle to Search Gets a Boost

A closer look at the Google app (beta version 15.32.37.29.arm64) reveals that Google is working on blending the Pixel Screenshots app with the Circle to Search feature. This integration aims to enhance usability and efficiency. With the update, anything you circle using Circle to Search can be saved directly as a screenshot to the Pixel Screenshots app. This feature adds a new layer of convenience for users.

How the Integration Works

The process is straightforward. When you circle an element on your screen, a save option featuring the Pixel Screenshots icon will appear above. By tapping save, the screenshot is instantly saved, and a pop-up notification allows you to view the screenshot directly in the Pixel Screenshots app. Viewing the screenshot will take you to a page showing when it was captured. If the screenshot is AI-enabled, the app notifies you and provides access to features like AI summaries, smart actions, and search options.

Looking Ahead

As of now, it’s unclear when this feature will officially roll out, but it’s expected to be just a few weeks away. The integration of the Pixel Screenshots app with Circle to Search appears to be incredibly useful, making it easier to locate needed information, even if accessed later. This will undoubtedly save users valuable time in their daily activities.
