Introduction to the Darkasso Update
The latest update for Vampire Survivors, dubbed Darkasso, introduces an array of new features and content. While the spotlight is on the new Dark Arcanas, a retired guy in his rocking chair captures a unique charm. Players now have exciting new ways to enjoy the game with these additions.
Five New Dark Arcanas
The Darkasso update primarily focuses on five new arcana cards known as Darkanas. These cards offer strange and innovative mechanics for players to experiment with, including one that causes your character to spit out explosive projectiles every time they take damage. The amount of health recovered during a run also affects the damage of these projectiles, making gameplay even more unpredictable and engaging.
Additional Features
In addition to the new arcanas, this update includes nine new achievements, a new challenge stage, a new relic, and two new special character skins. These skins do more than just alter appearances; they also change the base stats and weapons of the characters. These new features reward players who have completed the two base game adventure modes. If you have already achieved this, the rewards will be available directly from the menu.
Previous Updates and Community Feedback
The previous significant update, Operation Guns, was a notable crossover with Contra, adding a new layer of enjoyment with rideable jetbikes and absurdly fun gameplay mechanics.
