The Return to Arkham
It appears that Frogwares is back in the game, quite literally! After a tumultuous tussle with Nacon over the original title, the studio has resurfaced with the first glimpse of The Sinking City 2. While I may have misplaced my excitement amidst countless releases, this game’s new trailer is hard to ignore. It’s time to rekindle our love for gloominess!
A Gloomy Evolution
The latest footage showcases pre-alpha gameplay that is shrouded in ominous drenches of water and eerie dilapidation. If you enjoy exploring damp corners filled with supernatural phenomena, you’re in luck! The developers have opted for a shift to survival horror, emphasizing investigations that are, as they say, entirely optional. So, no pressure, detective!
Creatures of the Deep
And what would a Lovecraftian adventure be without an array of unsettling creatures? The new trailer unveils a rogues’ gallery of grotesque monstrosities, reportedly including one that has a particular taste for faces—yummy! Set against the backdrop of 1920s Arkham, players will delve into the depths of a supernatural flood that has drastically altered the city’s landscape as well as its inhabitants, turning them into strange beings.
With a Kickstarter campaign launched as a safety net, the message is clear: after three years of this horrid war hanging over our daily lives, it’s time to adapt and embrace the darkness. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates, as there’s plenty lurking beneath the surface!
