Finally, Some Peace with Patch 2.21
Let’s get right into it: the much-anticipated Patch 2.21 for Cyberpunk 2077 is here, and trust me, it brings a wave of relief for many players. With features like DLSS 4 support and a slew of fixes for photo mode, it’s a solid upgrade. But for me, the real star of the show is a fix for a particularly annoying bug in the Phantom Liberty expansion that left me in a rather unpleasant back alley.
When V Became a Cubano Nightmare
Now, I don’t want to spoil too much, but here’s the deal: during a late-game mission, V dons a disguise reminiscent of a notorious Cuban hitman for a chat with an NPC. This encounter is where things get dicey—and I’m not talking about difficulties from the actual fight. The bug in question would unfairly trap you in your hitman attire!
Negotiation? More Like a No-Way-Out Situation
Imagine your character can’t change back to their regular outfit after trying to negotiate! And worse yet, you’re stuck in a grimy back alley until you either defeat the enemies or revert to an old save. Not the kind of immersive experience I signed up for, right? Sure, I finally got out of there after a vigorous gunfight, but it just didn’t sit right with my V’s peaceful spirit.
Nonetheless, with today’s patch, that little hiccup is a thing of the past! So, fellow gamers, let’s lace up those boots, put on V’s fashionable attire, and immerse ourselves back into the neon-lit chaos of Night City—sans back alley dilemmas!
