A New Era of Customization
The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is gearing up to celebrate its 10th anniversary, and players are in for a significant treat with some groundbreaking changes ahead. The biggest news from the latest ESO Direct is the introduction of subclassing, which aims to enhance character customization and gameplay experience. After nearly a decade of refining its mechanics, ESO is ready to shake things up!
Understanding Subclassing
Typically, ESO players have the choice of abilities from three specific skill lines within their class, such as the Templar’s Aedric Spear, Dawn’s Wrath, and Restoring Light skill lines. However, with subclassing, players will now have the exciting ability to select skill lines from any class, albeit with some essential limitations. To access subclassing, you must reach level 50, and at least one of your skill lines must originate from your base class.
Expanding Your Build Options
Imagine a Templar not only wielding the powers of Aedric Spear but also drawing upon the Dragon Knight’s Draconic Power and the Necromancer’s Bone Tyrant skill lines! While this new system opens the potential for over 3,000 different combinations, it does come with a caveat: skills from other classes will cost double the skill points to utilize. However, considering the abundance of skill points available, it should not deter players from exploring these robust character options.
As we approach this monumental anniversary, the changes such as subclassing signify ESO’s commitment to evolving the game and keeping players engaged. Are you ready to experience the new possibilities that come with it?
