Exciting News: La Quimera Beta Test Announced

Get Ready for La Quimera

We won’t be waiting long for La Quimera, the upcoming sci-fi shooter set in a fictional Latin American megalopolis. Just revealed less than two months ago as part of Reburn’s surprise reverse fight club twist, the studio has now announced that the game will launch on April 25. For eager players, a one-day closed beta test is scheduled for April 12, providing a unique opportunity to experience the game before its official release.

What to Expect from the Gameplay

Reburn has also teased a new trailer for La Quimera, focusing predominantly on gameplay. This first look showcases a rich environment reminiscent of the classic Crysis games, largely due to the prominent feature of powerful exosuits. While it is a slight letdown that the exosuits don’t communicate when engaged in maximum capabilities, it’s understandable given the parallels it might draw with Crytek’s iconic work.

The Story Behind La Quimera

The narrative of La Quimera follows a down-on-their-luck PMC group embroiled in a sprawling conflict between rival factions and secretive corporations within the mega-city of Nuevo Caracas. Players will encounter mystical events that blur the line between reality and illusion. With support for solo or co-op play for up to three players, La Quimera promises to be an immersive experience as you navigate through a world filled with high-tech gadgets and superhuman strength through your exosuit.

Want to get in on the action? Mark your calendars for the beta test starting at 7 AM PT on April 12, lasting for 24 hours. Access will be limited, so head over to the Steam page to ensure your spot!
