A Glimpse into the 6.2 Update
The latest video in Creative Assembly’s “Dev Chat Series” features key developers discussing the highly anticipated 6.2 update. Senior community manager Steve Coleman, alongside game designer William Håkestad, senior game designer Vasil Nikolov, and principal technical designer Radoslav Borislov, provided insights into the upcoming changes and enhancements that players can expect.
Introducing Dechala the Denied One
Among the highlights is the confirmation of a new legendary lord—Dechala the Denied One. This character, leading the Slaanesh faction known as The Tormentors, brings a unique design and backstory. Dechala, a corrupted elf with a distinctive look featuring a gigantic tail topped with a poisoned stinger, possesses six arms, each wielding a sword. Notably, she has a personal vendetta against Khorne, stemming from a past scar inflicted by one of the blood god’s champions.
The New Units and Mechanics
The Tormentors faction will not only introduce Dechala but also a new cavalry unit called the Pleasureseekers. These daemonettes will ride steeds of Slaanesh, representing a significant upgrade over existing seekers. Furthermore, the faction’s mechanics will incorporate Dechala’s Elixir of Damnation, which grants her the ability to subjugate enemies during campaigns. Additionally, this DLC promises a three-lord pack with a bonus legendary lord as “free-LC” upon release. Speculations hint at another Slaanesh servant, possibly the Masque, a daemonette doomed to an eternity of dance.
As the community buzzes with excitement, the details around what additional legendary lords may emerge remain uncertain. With past updates revitalizing several armies, anticipation builds for the next installment in the dynamic world of Total War: Warhammer.
