Welcome Back, Mizutsune!
The promise of any monster hunter game is twofold—an array of meticulously crafted titans and the thrilling experience of smacking the nuggets out of them with various weapons. Imagine my delight when Capcom teased the reintroduction of Mizutsune, the enchanting fox dragon that sprays bubbles. Each time I see this beautiful beast, I can’t help but feel a tad guilty. Shouldn’t I be offering half my harvest instead of targeting it with a massive gun?
A Graceful Combatant
With its return in Monster Hunter Wilds, Mizutsune’s graceful and hypnotic fighting style makes it a far more appealing adversary than, say, that quirky monkey who farts mustard gas. Mizutsune had previously graced players in Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2, so its arrival won’t be a shock for seasoned hunters.
What to Expect in the Update
While we await more details about Mizutsune’s role in Wilds, you can expect some bubble-blowing antics and perhaps a few immobilizing secretions. Players won’t have to wait long, as March 25 signals Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto preparing to unveil the game’s first major free update. We’re not just getting Mizutsune; a “whole host of new additions” are promised! Scheduled for unveiling at 7 AM PT / 2 PM GMT, this showcase will shine a light on what fans can anticipate.
Monster Hunter continues its epic rise to PC dominance, comfortably securing its place among the most played games despite performance hitches. Here’s hoping that upcoming title update addresses these issues, ushering in an even more thrilling monster-slaying adventure. So suit up and prepare your hunts—Monster Hunter Wilds is now available on Steam!
