Introduction to the Kislev Overhaul
Creative Assembly has announced an exciting update for Total War: Warhammer 3, focusing on a much-needed overhaul of the Kislev faction. Scheduled for a mid-March release, Patch 6.1 aims to enhance the existing gameplay experience, addressing community feedback and prioritizing improvements over new content. This shift reflects a commitment to refining and balancing what players already love about the game.
Community Feedback and Design Changes
According to game designer William Håkestad, the message from players was clear: more attention was required for existing factions like Kislev. Håkestad noted that Kislev was identified as the faction needing the most significant revision due to its perceived challenges. Therefore, the focus of this update is to uplift the entirety of Kislev rather than simply pile on new features.
What’s New for Kislev?
The overhaul includes significant changes, with the existing supporter race being completely removed to pave the way for Kislev 2.0. Creative Assembly aims to “wipe the slate clean,” which will eliminate any existing drawbacks associated with the previous system. The new structure maintains the essence of building support for the Ice Court and Great Orthodoxy but introduces a redefined end goal that promises to invigorate player engagement.
With these updates, Total War: Warhammer 3 is set to deliver a more balanced and enjoyable experience for both new and veteran players. Stay tuned for further details as the update approaches!
